Weekend project frame with roof. The strongest frame and roof over a swing in your yard short of a gazebo structure. You supply wood and roofing material, then auger or post hole dig 2 holes 3' deep, then use 2 60 lb. bags of concrete per hole. Before installing post, prime your frame with Kilz. Use a level on both sides of post to insure straightness, then after concrete hardens, saw the tops of the 4"x 6"'s. Simply screw in your 2"x4" from below and use any roofing material you want, cedar shakes cut in half, standard singles or roll roofing. Designed for structural strength.
