The photo to the left is showing 1,034 pounds of concrete blocks sitting in it, built in 1987 and tested in 2003. If I had more blocks they would been added too. These porch swings weigh no more than an average screwed or nailed together porch swings.   Each piece of wood is bolted on with four quarter inch carriage bolts making it the strongest porch swing built.   I use no glues, screws, staples, nails or have any pieces of wood pressed into one another to come loose or fall off ever.
