All these type of kitchen breakfast countertop bar brackets are made from 3/8" thick industrial steel, and bolt on to the backside of a kitchen island as a breakfast bar support. These type of brackets are an option to the type of brackets which mount on top, that can clutter or crack your countertop. If having a kitchen island custom built it should have an additional stud wall added to the back before measuring for your counter top, or have extra studs installed inside.     If using a prebuilt island it should be reinforced to steady your breakfast bar from left to right movement. Reinforcement can be as simple as adding a 2" X 4" on the back inside panel for extra strength. The brackets mount by being bolted to where the breakfast bar can be approximately 4" - 6" higher than the counter itself. Brackets mount into double studs inside the island. The two mounting plates welded on the decorative rise, are 1/4" thick by 3" wide for the bottom mount and 1 1/2" wide to go under your bar top. Now you can raise your snack bar or breakfast bar with brackets only, for a raised countertop bar.
All brackets come complete, ready to mount, no additional charges for drilling holes, painting, shipping or hardware. 3/8" thick 285-C steel, anything less regardless of metal type would wobble, especially if mounting plates are designed incorrectly.
