COMMON SENSE   Scroll brackets, a simple contemporary scroll bracket. When a scroll brackets material is one eighth inch thick in the profile, and one inch wide looking at it straight, the only thing supporting the top L is one eighth inch material, but when the design is one inch wide in the profile, there's an inch of steel supporting the L. Other scroll brackets are similar to springs, but once they bend down, they don't bend back up.
